POTD: Peek-a-bones Shoes

These X-Ray Skeleton Shoes seem appropriate for this time of year, although I have a sneaking suspicion that they were not designed for Halloween use.

Pumps not for you? Never fear! There is a boot version as well:

Men, feeling left out? Here you go!

POTD: "Sexy" Halloween Costumes

I find great amusement in the Halloween trend of trying to make ANY concept into a slutty costume. Last year's trends seemed to include a lot of board games (Sexy Scrabble anyone?) and 80s cartoon characters (aka Rainbow Bright). I always look forward to the wackiness that I will come across each year. So without further ado, I bring you:

The Top 10 inappropriately sexy Halloween costumes for 2011

POTD: Baseball "Fan"

Be the ultimate baseball fan with this baseball fan! There are four baseball bats, a baseball, a baseball mitt AND a home plate. It's too bad they couldn't have incorporated a catcher's mask into the design somehow, but I respect their restraint- that would have just pushed it over the top.

POTD: Crafty Necklace

This Betsey Johnson Skull Charms Necklace is on sale for $120. Thank goodness! $150 was simply too much to spend on something that looks like a 7 year old's summer camp project.

POTD: Derelict

I see KarmaLoop is taking it's inspiration from Jacobim Mugatu's Derelict line this fall.

POTD: Shoes that should not be made for toddlers

Today I thought I found a couple of errors on BabyPronto.com's Brand lists: 'Heelys' and 'FitFlop'. Surely these brands don't make shoes for toddlers? Oh but they do.

Here is the collection of FitFlops for Little Girls, since apparently you are never to young to start toning your glutes.

And here is the collection of Heelys for Toddlers. Just learning how to walk? Great, now try it with wheels on your shoes!

Still, I suppose it could be worse. Let's make sure Pleaser & Paris Hilton don't get any ideas...

Theatre Review: The Importance of Being Earnest

I went to see The Importance of Being Earnest on Broadway before it closes at the end of the week. Since it was just me, I was able to get a discount ticket in the front row somewhat last minute. I was really hoping to be able to take my parents and grandmother next week when they are in town, but sadly, all good things must come to a close...or end.

Brian Bedford did an amazing job playing Lady Bracknell, the matronly, elderly aunt. I enjoyed how he played a woman in a comedy without using the fact that he was indeed a he for any of the comedic elements.

Bedford was worth seeing the play for on his own, but in my opinion, it was Santino Fontano as Algernon who really made the show. Hilarious and entertaining, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

POTD: Florsheim's Copper Brogues

Hmm...I wonder if these copper brogues will turn to a lovely light, mint green shade if you leave them out on your porch?

POD: Sam Edelman's Pumps of Pain

Ouch! At first I was repulsed by these Sam Edelman Lorissa Pumps, but the more I think about it, the more I like them. It's an external visualization of what your feet are feeling inside these high heels. The best news? They're also available in pink, denim, nude, black, AND snake skin.

POTD: High Waist, Low Crotch Pants

Dear Yigal Azrouel,

I am seriously questioning your taste level with your Double Face Jersey Pants offering. They appear to be a union suit/skant hyrbrid gone horribly, horribly wrong. You are lucky that this is not Project Runway and I am not Michael Kors.

Sincerely,
Marie

POTD: Hat & Gloves

It's a hat! It's a glove! No, ok, it's just a glove-love hat. You really had me going there for a minute though Marc Jacobs.

POTD: Pump it up!

Please take note that this Bodybuilding Workout Top "looks great when worn over a string tank top". If I run into someone at the gym sporting this ensemble I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to hold myself back...

POTD: Marc Jacobs Frankenmummy

So one day Marc Jacobs had leftover scraps of fabric and thought to himself 'Gee, why toss it away? I'm sure I can throw it together and make $2,490.00 off of this'. And thusly, this asymmetrical satin and velvet dress was born. Looks like that didn't work out for him so well and now he's so desperate he'll accept a measly $622.50. What a deal!
